The Duel whisky set by Berry Bros. & Rudd, with Justice and Honour decanters.

Have you heard the story of The Duel?

Two sides. One story.

Introducing an exceptional duo of whiskies from Berry Bros. & Rudd. One, smooth, sweet and suave as can be. The other, smouldering, characterful, with a penchant for drama.

These tell the tale of the Duel: the very last fought in London. Of two souls, so consumed by opposing ideals that they were willing to pay the ultimate price.

Which will win your allegiance? Will it be Justice, or Honour?

Please note that The Duel whiskies are sold exclusively as a set.

Honour

Laphroaig 1991, 6513 Hogshead

A whisky that sings of soot and smoke, peppered with dark cloves and meaty notes that melt into sugar-sweetness. A touch of water will reveal its true nature: subtle maritime notes, gentle lemon and coal fire. Untameable and bright, this is a classic for a good reason.

Justice

Speyside Classified 1970, 10581 Hogshead

Initial traces of golden honey, citrus peel and distinguished old oak on the nose, which develop into a rich, textural palate of apricot and candied pineapple. The fruit is underlaid with sandalwood, vanilla and nutmeg: complex, intriguing and ever evolving.

A case to remember

Each set is presented in hand-blown crystal decanters, uniquely decorated to reflect the distinct spirits within. Honour features a mottled texture, mirroring the bold and smoky flavours of Islay. Justice is adorned with precise flutes, reflecting the crisp, elegant notes of its Speyside origin.

Both decanters are encased in a Jesmonite display cabinet. Inspired by the ritual of a traditional duel, where opponents begin facing away before turning to meet, the case mirrors this choreography; as the doors open, precision mechanics rotate them. The two spirits are brought face to face, united and defined by their differences.
