Blend: 100% Sauvignon Blanc.

As of the 2022 vintage there is also a second wine of Pavillon Blanc; there is now greater selection possible for this wine. The wine is interesting to analyse. It does not have the immediate vivacity of 2021 or the fabulous 2017, but it is very well composed and doesn’t show even a hint of the year’s heat. The personality of the vintage is transposed into something creamier and more textured on the palate. There are notes of citrus oil, fennel and marjoram along with a subtle green apple skin character. The wine has plenty of grip and will age rather well, even if its freshness is more tannic than saline or citrus.

The largest commune in the Médoc, it encompasses the communes of Cantenac, Soussans, Arsac and Labaude, in addition to the village of Margaux itself. Its finest examples are paragons of refinement and subtlety which have few parallels in Bordeaux.
