One of the jewels of the region, Whispering Angel’s reputation precedes it, renowned for its freshness, fruit concentration and magnificent rose-coloured hue. Every bottle will transport you to the picturesque hills of the Var in the heart of Provence, where Château d’Esclans sits. It has been owned and run by Sacha Lichine since 2006, who, with Patrick Leon (former Managing Director of Mouton Rothschild), set out to create a world-class brand that aims to produce the “greatest rosé on the planet”.

About this wine

Côtes de Provence

Reputedly the source of Louis XIV’s favourite wines, Côtes de Provence lies in the south-east of Provence and overlaps with the Var department. Eighty percent of its production is dry rosé wine, distinguished by an inimitable pale-pink colour and elegant flavours. Cinsault and Grenache dominate in the region’s rosés, augmented with the occasional dash of the local, intensely aromatic Tibouren.
