2022 Domaine Guyon, Mes Nuages, Vin de France

Description

A new project for Jean-Pierre Guyon, is to showcase his style of vinification rather than a particular terroir. It is a blend of domaine vineyards, including Vosne, Chorey, Nuits and Savigny. The selection is made at various points; some grapes are vinified together, while others are selections of individual barrels. The spicy nose has dark cherry notes and an explosive floral character. 

The palate is creamy, voluptuous and spicy with chocolate touches before a bright, tense and precise thread of freshness arrives to drive home the finish. A total of eight barrels have been made in this first vintage, two of which were new.
