Antonio Galloni 91-93/100
The 2022 Syrah Rodney's Vineyard is a brute. Raw and unpolished, the 2022 will need time to come together. Then again, it won't be bottled until January, 2024. I admire the wine's sheer power, but the 2022 is not fully put together just yet.Joey Tensley sources fruit from some of the most historic vineyards in Santa Barbara for this collection of wines. It's an interesting idea, especially as history can be pretty fleeting in a region where vineyards are continually being replanted and, in the most extreme cases, being converted to other crops. Tensley fans will find plenty to like.Drink 2024 - 2032antonio_galloni, Vinous.com.com (July 2023)

Blackberries, iron, graphite, and some meaty, pot roast-like nuances all emerge from the 2022 P2KV Syrah Rodney's Vineyard, a remarkably complex, medium to full-bodied, unctuous Syrah with plenty of ripe tannins, a solid spine of acidity, and one hell of a great finish.jeb_dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com (August 2023)
