Two thirds comes from their normal grape purchases to which is added a plot of Aux Leureys, recovered as part of the Daniel Rion inheritance. A rich even purple. Lifted raspberry fruit, not too dark, then a bundle of dark red cherries on the palate. Just fills the mouth out a little more than the very fine Bons Batons. Côte de Nuits-Villages

This Burgundian appellation includes wines from a small number of villages, mostly in the extreme north and south of the Côte de Nuits: Fixin and Brochon in the north, Comblanchien, Corgoloin and Prissey to the south. The wines are usually red and are often good value. Hautes-Côtes de Nuits is also mostly red and is produced in the hinterland to the south-west of Nuits-St Georges.
