Description

After what was thought as a one-off in 2021, this excellent wine has retained its place in the range. From hillside vineyards by the quarry in Comblanchien, the limestone dust helps keep the berries free from mildew. The vineyard is certified organic and the wine is elegant and refreshing with a note of sapid blackcurrant and a bite of iron.

Côte de Nuits-Villages

This Burgundian appellation includes wines from a small number of villages, mostly in the extreme north and south of the Côte de Nuits: Fixin and Brochon in the north, Comblanchien, Corgoloin and Prissey to the south. The wines are usually red and are often good value. Hautes-Côtes de Nuits is also mostly red and is produced in the hinterland to the south-west of Nuits-St Georges.
