Description

Last year, Olivier trailed this wine while tasting the 2021 to say how superb he thought it was in 2022, and he is not wrong. The very chalky soil gives lots of grip and freshness but also a limpidity which reminded me a little of a still Champagne. Not a typical St Véran and bursting with possibilities.

The 2022 Saint-Véran Côte-Rôtie has a fragrant bouquet with yellow fruit and light almond scents. Good delineation. The palate is slightly honeyed on the entry, with marzipan and apricot hints.
