Description

This is a blend of five well-regarded parcels, split almost 50-50 between the left and right banks of the Serein. It’s fermented and raised entirely in stainless steel to preserve freshness. The result is a wine which marries power and freshness. There is rounded, juicy fruit, paired with a chalky, crisp finish that offers up aromas of oyster shell.

The 2022 Chablis Village, matured in stainless steel, has a pleasant, bright bouquet with yellow plum and touches of pressed flowers. Understated, but there is a sense of tension here. The palate is well-balanced with a clean, tropical-tinged entry and notes of dried quince and citrus peel. Pale in colour. The first nose is a delight, very classical yet with a juicy generosity (as well as, rather than instead of the classicism), and a little youthful bitterness.
