Description

This old-vine blend is from lieux-dits including Côte de Bréchain (the domaine’s oldest, planted in 1936), Pied d’Aloup and Chapelot. This is somewhat reserved for now, with a spicy, mineral character hiding the fruit on the nose. The palate is more open, with unctuous fruit leading into an explosion of layered minerals giving an intensely stony finish.

A stunning example, with finesse allied to power. Real tension and energy here. Will be approachable quite young, but really should be aged for over five years for the best result. Fèvre has 2.24ha within Montée de Tonnerre.
