Description

Grapes for this cuvée come from a cooler parcel just above Clos des Lambrays, contributing to an underlying mineral tension in the wine. There is a real intensity on the palate with soils here not too dissimilar to those of Chassagne-Montrachet.

30% new wood, including one 400 litre barrel, which is the way Jean-Pierre will go in future for the first year, and then earthenware jars for the second elevage. A touch of liquorice. This has a much denser texture than used to be the case and a superb fruit acid balance. Extremely impressive for village Morey blanc.
