Total production is limited to 5,000 bottles.
The fruit used for the Rosso di Montalcino comes from the younger vines of the original Scopetone vineyard – therefore making it the original Biondi Santi vineyard! Fermentation occurs over 22-30 days, with a maturation of six months in botti followed by four months in bottle. This displays bright, crushed pomegranate and dried cranberry fruit flavours, with vibrant and sour edges. It’s both light-bodied and refreshing.
