Description
From two different plots, Les Famines and La Gigotte, the Famines part gives freshness and acidity with the Gigotte giving a more mature, fruit rich character to the wine. There is no shortage of both attributes with this vintage. Luscious red and dark fruit with very delicate, fine tannins ensure that this will give pleasure early.

The 2022 Volnay Village is a blend of two lieux-dits, as usual. It has a feisty and lively bouquet with raspberry, blueberry and sous-bois scents. There is plenty of substance here, lovely red berry fruit laced with graphite and impressive substance and freshness on the finish. A mix of Famines, the ripest plot, and Gigotte, which brings some freshness. Incredibly dark by Buffet standards, with an opaque inky nose.
