Description

Around 20% of this wine sees oak, with the rest made in tank. Benoît has almost 5 hectares here, and this is always an emblematic cuvée. The nose is floral and inviting with a wonderfully open feel as notes of lemon and white fruit jostle for attention. The attack is fleshy before a firm bead of acidity kicks in on the mid-palate to bring a satisfying, grippy finish with a pleasant youthful bitterness.

Ready for bottling. 20% barrel this year, some new. A glowing lemon and lime colour. There is a strictness to the nose, along with the concentration of the vintage. Then more opulence starts to show, ripe lemons here. A future waxiness. The stones turn up at the back, as they should, and the sun-kissed lemons infiltrate the finish.
