Description

Directly opposite the vineyards of Aloxe-Corton, on the east side of the road, Jean-Pierre’s parcel in this vineyard has 80% of its vines at over 100 years old.  This wine is a perennial over-perfomer for the appellation and even more so this year. The bouquet is very expressive, with definition and drive and even a mineral saltiness. The finish is long and fresh and with surprising intensity. Drink 2024-2032.

Last to be picked, with plenty of rot to sort out. A deeper purple than the Bourgogne. Marvellous density of deep raspberry fruit.
