Laurent’s Marsannay Cuvée St Urbain is always a reliable wine, coming in large part from the fruit of 10- to 30-year-old vines in his single vineyard (future Premier Cru) sites. The 2021 is pretty, delicate and fine, with forward fruit and surprising layers of complexity.

A bright mid purple, with a fresher raspberry fruit on the nose. One third whole bunch vinification gives a lift on the palate, adds the white pepper note but the fruit remains more in raspberry mode.
