Description

Ampodium is always a superb expression of Côte-Rôtie, coming from 20 different parcels across 15 to 16 lieux dits. The 2021 has a gorgeous ripe, red and black fruit nose with textbook black pepper freshness and a granitic lift. The palate is aromatic, fragrant and elegant with concentrated cherry and orange blossom notes. Very fine tannins precede a succulent, wet-stone finish. Drink 2024-2034.
