Description

This vineyard has a very stony topsoil and is located close to the Grande Hates, making a similarly gastronomic-style wine with an oxidative twist. Indeed, Alexandre ages this in a way that encourages oxidation by topping up the 500l barrels only once every two to three months. He thinks that this cuvée makes the perfect pairing with spicy foods.

As expected, the nose is very open, with a lovely pear, white flower, and ripe quince bouquet. The palate has a fresh backbone but a deep and full palate of ripe tropical fruits, honey, and honeysuckle while retaining the Alexandre Bain bitterness trait. This is the smallest cuvée of the range. Complex, unique and gastronomic, blind, you would never think this is a Sauvignon Blanc!
