Description

For this vintage, we’ve worked with Sébastien Dampt, an exciting young winemaker whose family have made Chablis for over 150 years. The grapes come from three different parcels, each lending the wine an extra dimension. It’s fermented and aged in stainless steel, preserving its pure orchard-fruit character. Extended time on lees gives the wine more complexity and a sensual mouthfeel. This is a benchmark expression of racy, mineral Chablis.

Chablis

Chablis lies further north than the rest of Burgundy, located about halfway between Beaune and Paris; it’s actually not all that far from Champagne. The wines here – exclusively whites from Chardonnay – differ in style from other white Burgundies: they tend towards steeliness and flintiness.
