Critics reviews

Neal Martin MW 91-93/100
The 2020 Chablis Vaillons 1er Cru is more floral on the nose compared to the preceding Les Séchets. White flowers, dandelion and touches of orange zest develop in the glass, precise and finessed. The palate is structured with good grip and a slightly waxy texture, building beautifully toward a very persistent finish. Give this 2–3 years in bottle (at least).Drink 2025 - 2040Neil Martin, Vinous.com (June 2021)

A cool and equally airy nose reflects aromas of spice, tidal pool, white pepper and pear with a citrusy top note. The supple but punchy middleweight flavors also flash both minerality and salinity on the refined, balanced and focused finale. This is a terrific Vaillons of understated grace that is very much built to age.Drink 2032+allen_meadows, burghound_com (October 2022)

Clean clear colour. The nose promises a sea of pebbles, though not quite as aquiline as Séchet. More perfume arises in the glass. This has a riper perfume which many will love.Drink 2027 - 2034Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy_com (June 2022)
