Description

Larger 300-litre barrels are preferred for this wine, now accounting for 60% of the crop. This is an important cuvée, about one-third of the domaine’s overall production. It comes from one parcel in Puligny and three in Meursault. The bouquet entices with a citrus lift and the wine, one of the best of its type, is very appealing.

Allen Meadows 87-89/100
(Méo noted that this cuvée was on the domaine’s price sheet in 1900!). An elegant and ripe nose combines notes of violet, red and dark currant and a whiff of crushed fennel. There is an appealing texture to the middle weight flavors that terminate in firm, serious and youthfully austere finish.
