Description

The intensity is very prevalent, especially after a day of tasting Chablis. Enjoyable waves of nettles, cut grass and ripe green apple make this wine very fresh but still ripe. It is a Kiwi Sauvignon but so much more. The aging process is very clear, giving a lovely density and creaminess to the palate. The note that I keep writing is Gooseberry Melba. Clearly, has time to age but I am thinking just 3-5 years and it will be delightful.

Oak spice plays a key role on the nose, with vegetal character, lemon juice, plenty of body and weight, great persistence. Nutty and sophisticated, very savoury. There's bitter grapefruit character on the finish. Much more primary fruit than most Bordeaux equivalents, but otherwise very comparable in style.From the latest-picked fruit.
