Description
Another superb vineyard in Castiglione Falletto (0.6 hectare owned), with sandier soils producing a more forward style of Barolo. This tends to be a relatively approachable Barolo in its youth.
A very pretty brick red colour and equally attractive red fruit notes, tinged with a hint of liquorice, on the bouquet. Gorgeous on the palate, so easy to drink even at this early stage, notes of summer red fruit, strawberry, raspberry and redcurrant, all vying for attention along with summer herbs and liquorice. Lovely weight and perfectly judged acidity and fine, elegant tannins bring it all into focus on the long, elegant finish. A beautiful wine in all senses.
