Description
This steep 13-hectare vineyard is located immediately in front of Mauro Veglio’s winery. Alessandro believes it is the most typical La Morra vineyard: full of the open, creamy style of the commune, thanks to the higher proportion of clay soils. Veglio has 2.5 hectares here, of which the oldest vines – those over 35 years old – are saved for this wine, with the rest used for the Classico. The proportion of new oak used was reduced to 25% this year. There are lovely raspberry notes on the bouquet, and a fondant texture across the palate: almost lush in the context of a Barolo.
