2018 Bourgogne Côte d'Or, Hémisphére Sud, Méo-Camuzet Frère & Soeurs

The 2018 Bourgogne Côte d'Or Hemisphere Sud (Méo-Camuzet Frère & Soeurs) is a new bottling for Méo's négociant line, derived from three plots in the commune of Pommard. Offering up aromas of cassis, plums, raw cocoa and sweet soil tones, the wine is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and succulent, with powdery tannins and good concentration. Méo will bottle two other Bourgognes that we didn't taste: a Hempisphere Nord cuvée from the Côte de Nuits, produced from purchased fruit, and the classic domaine cuvée with which followers of this estate will be familiar.William Kelley, Wine Advocate (Jan 2020)

This is one of three Bourgognes made here this year: one from domaine grapes, one from Côte de Nuits fruit and this one from Côte de Beaune fruit.
