Pretty and fresh aromas of white orchard fruit, floral and citrus zest aromas are trimmed in a mild amount of oak. Once again there is exceptional richness to the opulent and lavish flavors that brim with dry extract that imparts a sappy texture to the lightly stony finish. Pale lemon, with a slight reduction to the nose, currently masking the detail of the fruit. With a golden colour in the glass, this displays an intriguing combination of exotic fruits, green apple acidity, some reductive notes and toffee crème brulée characters. 2017 was a fine white wine vintage giving this Clos des Mouches a distinctive cool streak on the savoury, mineral-driven finish.
