Monforte d'Alba. Lustrous mid-ruby. Rich complex nose with great lift. Cherry steeped in liqueur, hints of dried fruit, sweet spice notes and with quite a bit of power underneath. With aeration, more and more pure maraschino cherry. Hugely appealing supple cherry fruit with hints of sweet fruit cake but much more complex than it sounds.
