Description

This 100% is exclusively from Leclerc Briant’s Grand Cru vineyards of the Cotes des Blancs, including old vine plot in Cramant. This Blancs de Blancs is the pinnacle of Hervé Jestin’s range, and one of the regions finest wines. Soft pressing, the tete du cuve is fermented and matured in used barriques (ex Ch. Y’Quem & Haut Brion Blanc) for ten months.

The palate is expansive and complex, super textured and full bodied, with the succulent chew of roast apricot patisserie, saffron cream, notes of orange zest, cardamom, wild mint and all focussed by raw terroir character of maritime salinity. The finish is spicy but bright with classic chalk acid line, old vine depth with wave and wave of seamless golden joy.

Bottled July 2016, disgorged July 2022. No added sulphites, no dosage.
