Description
This wine is incredibly tight and concentrated, with real muscle. It is very backward at this stage, but it appears to be a timeless wine and there is just such a volume of fruit to balance the significant structure.

Stephen Tanzer 95-98/100
(this special cuvee is made from the southernmost of Faiveley's three parcels in Clos de Beze; five barrels, three of them new): Good bright red. Very closed nose hints at rose petal and cinnamon. Wonderfully silky and sweet on the palate, with outstanding definition to the perfumed red raspberry and spice flavors. Finishes with explosive rising length and racy, fine-grained tannins. In its kernel of spice and its superb density and thrust, there's something Musigny-like about this understated but potentially great wine.Stephen Tanzer, Vinous.com.com (Jan 2014)
