Still 8-9 months from bottling when I tasted it, the white 2009 Grange des Peres is scented with decadent musk melon, honeysuckle, and lily-of-the-valley, offering a silken texture and a faint overtly lactic note on its expansive palate, yet managing to retain a welcome modicum of primary juiciness and refreshment. A thorough aeration did this a lot of good, banishing most of the lactic aura and promoting the heady sense of floral perfume. Toasted almond, musk melon, and apricot cream dominate the soothingly lingering finish.David Schildknecht, Wine Advocate (August 2011)
