From this iconic Islay distillery comes a whisky of contemplative complexity, fitting for its venerable age. The nose greets you with soft charcoal embers, interwoven with the freshness of a gentle sea breeze. As the aroma evolves, a subtle minerality and a whisper of chalk come to the fore, beautifully underpinned by hints of juicy tropical fruits.

The palate reveals cracked black pepper atop fresh Islay oysters, complemented by an oily and full texture. As it transitions to the finish this crescendo of flavour gradually ebbs away,?akin to the slow retreat of tides on Bowmore beach.
