Description

This 21-Year-Old is the oldest expression in the current core range from Muileach malt-masters Tobermory. The nose and palate project dignity and density, with notes of pleasingly firm oak and cakes soaked in variously spiced syrups. Hints of glacé cherry are studded throughout, and, with a little air, I found sweet herbs such as fennel, tarragon, even meadowsweet. The finish takes a stately meander round various Victorian establishments, not least of which are the bakery and the apothecary.
