Description

French oak gives the beat in this 15 y.o. Glenlivet. The Limousin casks, the same used in cognac, impart more oaky aromas (vanilla, bitter chocolate, creamy notes) than American oak. The palate is round and velvety, enveloping fruity and hazelnut flavours in a spiced oak shell. Luscious fudge and toasted nuts linger on the finish. The perfect dram for a sweet tooth, to be enjoyed after dinner, with cake desserts or on its own. (Gold Medal, 2005 International Spirtis Competition)
