Description

After eight years in ex-Bourbon wood, this splendid Glenmorangie then spent four years in casks that had previously held the relatively unknown fortified wine from Malaga. This is sweetly scented with all manner of dried yellow and orange fruits – plump, golden sultanas in particular. The palate and finish are as softly cushioned as I expect from this brilliant Highland distillery. A large dram, in a comfortable glass, will happily see me through an hour listening to the flamenco-infected genius of the Gipsy Kings.
